About Me

Dr. Mahder is a consultant Orthopedic Surgeon and sport and arthroscopic surgeon who has completed her post graduate degree in Orthopedics and traumatology in 2017 from Addis Ababa University School of medicine. After practicing in the filed she has successfully completed her fellowship program in Sport and Arthroscopic surgery fellowship from Tel Aviv Sourasky Center in 2020. Ever since the completion of her subspecialty programs she has been working in various healthcare facilitites including in St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College. Dr. Mahder is a vice president of Ethiopian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology and leading the Sport and Arthroscopy unit at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College- AaBET Hospital. In addition to her leadership roles she is also a member of various professional association in her field including American College of Surgeons, College of Surgeons of Southern, Eastern, and Central Africa and Ethiopian Surgical Association. Dr, Mahder Aspires to establish the first sport and Arthroscopy fellowship program in Ethiopia.
